GURUGRAM (Haryana): In four years since he has been the chief minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar has made 7,306 public announcements about development works in the state between November 2014 and November 2018, out of which 2,113 (29.82%) have been fulfilled.
This was revealed by the government in a reply to an RTI filed by a city-based NGO. Other revelations include the number of announcements that cannot be implemented (219), number of announcements that have been deferred (11), number that are pending (2,926) and those that are in progress (2,037). The CM made 187 promises for Gurugram alone, of which only 44 (24.72%) have been implemented.
Haryana Housing Board chairman and former OSD to the Haryana CM, Jawahar Yadav, said around 60% announcements have either been commissioned (29.82%) or in progress (28.74%), leaving only around 3% infeasible. The rest are in the pipeline.
