Rajasthan Budget 2017: Major announcements made by CM Vasundhara Raje

The government will spend over Rs 6000 crore on clean drinking water scheme, said CM Vasundhara Raje

Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje presented the state financial budget for fiscal year 2017-18 in the Assembly.

Here are some of the major announcements made by the chief minister:

* 13 districts to benefit from Chambal water

* Rs. 10 crore for GIB conservation in Desert National Park by improving grasslands

* Launch of Project Leopard to conserve the big cat in select areas

* State government will build Dharamshala for pilgrims at Tirupati Balaji and Badrinath temples

* 20,000 senior citizens to go on state-sponsored pilgrimages over the next year, 5,000 of them by air

* Rs 1904 crore earmarked for women and child development

* Rs 186 crore for art and culture

* Pension scheme for international level sportspersons

* Government will announce policy allowing private players to set up sports academies

* Digitisation of ancient manuscripts in Tonk
