PUCL woman leader held for Facebook post

Hyderabad: A senior woman office-bearer of the human rights body, People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL), was arrested here on Sunday for allegedly posting "objectionable" comments on her Facebook account against Tamil Nadu Governor and a local Congress MLA, the police said on Sunday.

Jaya Vindhayala, the PUCL general secretary of Andhra Pradesh, was apprehended from Padmarao Nagar under section 66A of the Information Technology (IT) Act for allegedly posting the "objectionable" Facebook post against Tamil Nadu

Governor K Rosaiah and Congress MLA Krishna Mohan from Chirala in Prakasam district.

She will be produced before Prakasam district magistrate at his residence, Prakasam SP K Raghuram Reddy said.
