Lucknow: A complaint has been lodged against BSP MLC Arvind Kumar Tripathi alias Guddu Tripathi at Hussainganj police station on Saturday evening for allegedly issuing threats to RTI activist Shamim Ahmed.
Police said Ahmed has alleged that he had collected the documents pertaining to the site map of Tripathi’s hotel in Hussainganj area through RTI Act. He alleged that the hotel was not built as per the map and so he had lodged a complaint with the Lucknow Development Authority in this regard, police said. Hussainganj Station House Officer R P Yadav said Ahmed has alleged that Tripathi called him over the phone on February 12 and threatened to get him kidnapped. When contacted, Tripathi denied threatening Ahmed. He said it was just a misunderstanding between him and Ahmed that has been resolved.
