Kishenji encounter fake, says BJP

The encounter in which Maoist leader Kishenji was killed on November 24 was “staged,” Rahul Sinha president of the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party said here on Wednesday.
“It is as clear as daylight that the encounter in which he was killed was staged,” Mr. Sinha said while addressing a party rally.
Pointing out that had it been a genuine encounter there would not have been so many bullets pumped into Kishenji’s body, Mr. Sinha said others would have also been killed with the Maoist leader.
Alleging that there were agents of the Maoists within the Trinamool Congress, Mr. Sinha said that when Maoist Leader Azad was killed in July there were voices raised from the party about a CBI enquiry. If an enquiry was conducted it would reveal that various leaders of the party have connections with the Maoist, he added.
On his party’s stand in regard to the Maoists he said, it believed that those who take up arms against the State should die.
