Vijay, who is also a BJP spokesperson, said he was "very good friend" of Masood and ready to share any information with the agency. "We stand by Shehla’s family, and every right thinking Indian will stand by them," Vijay said.
With senior Congress leader Digivijay Singh demanding a CBI investigation, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan reminded him that he had already done so, and announced he will write a second letter on Friday to the department of personnel and training requesting probe.
"The letter was sent on August 19 to DoPT under Union minister V Narayan Sami," said Chouhan. "We requested a CBI probe two days after theRTI activist was found dead in her car. The police are working to solve the case but we are eager on the CBI inquiry to remove all possible suspicion," he added. Digvijay Singh had said, "It’s a matter of great concern. And since names of BJP leaders like Tarun Vijay have cropped-up, the state and Tarun Vijay should hand the case to the CBI."
"Tarun Vijay will be interrogated soon though we can’t say when," said Bhopal IG Vijay Yadav.
