Jawaharlal Nehru’s book now in Braille

To give visually-challenged persons a chance to read history of civilisation penned by country’s first Prime Minister, the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library is releasing the Braille edition of Jawaharlal Nehru’s “Letters from a Father to his Daughter” at its Teen Murti House premises here this coming Monday.

The Braille version, embossed by Lal Bihari Shah Braille Academia, Blind Persons’ Association, Kolkata, will be released by Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Mukul Wasnik.

A collection of a series of 30 letters written in 1928 when Nehru was in prison, introducing his daughter to the fascinating study of creation, life and the universe, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.

A performance by differently-abled artistes from “Ability Unlimited Foundation” will mark the culmination of the film festival .
