MNREGS Magic: Sholapur District Judge Gets Job in Andhra Pradesh

An Indian serving judge and his family members’ names were reported as beneficiaries of India’s National flagship programme Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS) in Jukkal block of Nizamabad district in Andhra Pradesh.

As per information, Judge Vijayrao Patel, who is currently posted at Sholapur district Court and his name was registered in his native village Gullabig in Indian government job scheme meant for people living below poverty line( whose daily income in less than one USD) vide MNREGS job card (ID no 09011011038).

The Job card (ID no 09011011038 also named his mother Ahilyabai, father Venkatrao, wife Devata and son Amol ready to get job under this scheme.

Further, MNREGS work code No 182341709011040230 confirmed the job done by Judge Family in April, 2010 and payment (order No 3985) was issued against this work on April 23 , which was duly verified by Panchayati Raj Institution functionaries and government officers that payment was made to genuine labourers.

On other side, Judge Vijayrao Patel alleged  that some devious government officials have done this act to tarnish his image, and he will write to the Nizamabad collector to take action against  MNREGS officers/ officials.
